Absences at School
Class rolls are marked at the beginning of each day. Students who are absent from school must bring a note from a parent/guardian explaining the reason. If a child needs to leave the school between 9.00am and 3.00pm a note should be sent to the child's teacher explaining the reason, time and who will collect the child.
Acceptable use of ICT
Prior to any student using the school's computers and other forms of technology, an acceptable use form must be agreed upon and completed. This is to ensure that students follow the code of conduct in using information, communication and technolgy. For more information see the Communities Online Policy.
Front office hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm.
Payments for excursions, bookpacks etc should be forwarded to the school in an envelope or clickseal bag with details of the students name, class, amount and purpose. If you are paying for more than one child, please list each child on the outside of the envelope. Correct money is appreciated as the banking is completed each day and the office does not carry change.
Notes and payments can be given to the class teacher to be forwarded to the front office for processing. Large cash payments may be handed in directly to the front office upon child’s arrival at school. Receipts are returned to the class to be sent home with the child.
After School Care
A before and after school care program operates from 7.30 - 9.00am in the morning and after school from 3.00 – 6.00pm. This quality service is off-site, on a fee-paying basis. Please ensure that you complete necessary details in our Student Arrivals/Departures book when you are picking up or dropping off a child out of regular hours. There is also a Visitor Sign In Book, which needs to be completed when parents or carers are doing any type of voluntary assistance within the school during school hours. These books are kept on the Front Office counter.
During any emergency situation, we need to be able to account for each and every person in the school.
Parents are asked to not visit teaching areas without appointments and any messages or personal items needing delivery to students will be forwarded by office staff.
Students may enter or leave the school via the front office only if accompanied by a parent or carer.
Fortnightly Friday assemblies are held in the hall from 11.30am. These showcase student activities and feature student performances, student recognition etc. Each teaching unit is responsible for leading the assembly on a rostered basis. Parents are most welcome. It is a legal requirement that the classroom teacher maintains an accurate record of children’s attendance in the class roll. Therefore, parents must contact the school, either by telephone or written note, if their child is to be away from school for any reason.
