A-Z Parent Information
Lateness to school
If your child is late to school he or she must sign in the late book at front office and take a copy of their late slip to their teacher. All late arrivals must be explained by a note or phone call from parents / legal guardians. If your child is marked as late please ring the front office on 6205 6200 with an explanation. If no explanation is received by 9:30am an absence SMS and /or email will be sent out.
Absence notifications can also be made via email to email@example.com.
The school has two units to support students who are identified as having specific learning difficulties. The Learning Support Unit has a maximum of 8 students, one teacher and an LSA. Students integrate for PE and are also involved in practical classes such as cooking and media. The Learning Support Centre classes have a maximum of 16 students with one teacher and an LSA. Students are placed in mainstream classes where appropriate and for elective classes and PE. Placement in these units is through the School Counsellor.
Learning support is also provided for mainstream students who may need curriculum differentiation or small group support to develop essential skills.
Leaving School Early
If students need to leave school early for any reason they must have a note signed by a parent, giving details of the time and date, parent contact details, and the reason for leaving early.
All students leaving school early must sign out at the Front Office.
Leaving School Grounds
The school has legal responsibility for the safety and well being of all students (this is called "duty of care"), and teachers must ensure that you are under proper supervision in class time and during break times. It is unacceptable to leave the school grounds without permission at any time during the school day.
Locker forms are available from the front office. A hire fee is required. Students need to present the front office with a spare key. Personal locks must be supplied by students. Lockers are to be kept tidy at all times. Lockers will be subject to random inspections.
If a student loses something they should check with the Front Office as soon as possible. At the end of each term lost property, if not collected is donated to a local charity bin.
